DESCRIPTION

Detail of a Siren from a painting depicting a procession of beasts.

The Siren has the head of a woman and the body of a bird. Her hair is braided and tied back with ribbons, her wings are curled and her tail fanned. She stands in a row of beasts which include a boar, stag, lion, leopard and ram.
