DESCRIPTION

The ship of Odysseus (Roman Ulysses) sails past the island of the Sirens. The hero is bound to the mast of his ship so as to be able to hear their song unharmed. The creatures are depicted as women with the legs and wings of birds, equipped with a variety of musical instruments.
