KLAIA (or Claea) was the Oreiad nymph of a sacred cave on Mount Kalathion in Messenia.
Pausanias, Description of Greece 3. 26. 11 (trans. Jones) (Greek travelogue C2nd A.D.) :
"In the territory of Gerenia [in southern Messenia] is a mountain, Kalathion (Calathion); on it is a sanctuary of Klaia (Claea) with a cave close beside it; it has a narrow entrance, but contains objects which are worth seeing."
