DESCRIPTION
Perseus frees Andromeda from her chains after slaying the Cetus (Sea-Monster). The hero wears red cloak and peaked Phrygian cap, and holds a hooked sword and the head of the Gorgon Medusa in his hand. The monster, lying dead at his feet, is depicted as a draconic sea-serpent.
