DESCRIPTION
The Nereid-nymphs Cymothoe, Actee, Pherusa and Dynamene ride across the sea on the backs of the sea-gods Agreus, Palaemon, Gaaeos and Phorcys. The marine deities are depicted as mermen with the serpentine tails of fish in place of legs.
